I wouldn't say '9', but it's definitely good overall. The biggest thing is, it isn't good enough for right now. If you've never owned a Robo, then sure, it may be good enough. In 2025 though, many other Robos have been made. If you're going to make one, it better be better than than previous releases.

To Shoguns point, that is the same issue here. Prime 1 Preds are going to be nearly impossible to beat.

As much as I love this character, I would've been happy with Prime 1's Big Game Cover Art version had they not botched the paintjob.

If this one's sculpt lands in that ballpark (maybe a tad slimmer), I'd be satisfied. Then again, a larger scale means larger price tag so others' mileages may vary.

That piece kicks ass.

Never seen one in person before.

PCS has to find a factory that will replicate a high end finish. Good luck with that.
I still think strongly to this day Neca has the best sculpt. Not even P1 is better than that.

I agree the NECA figures are outrageous. Excellent proportions on those figures. however, the scale, added detail and finishing on the Prime 1 make the NECAs look like big toys in comparison.

But I agree the NECA Preds finished by Joe Dunaway are wild.

I've seen the Neca Preds in person. I used to have a couple of them. I wouldn't say the sculpts are superior. The only thing that really hurts the Prime Pred is the overly dark skin and armor tones. To date, there isn't any Predator statue/figure that I have seen that's non 1:1 that I would trade my Prime for. If someone had a cover art JH repainted by Joe Dunaway, that might be the only thing I can think of, but that doesn't exist.

PCS should've done whatever it took to get the Predator license in 1/4. That would be a gold mine if done correctly. I just don't have any confidence in them pulling off a 1:2 JH.

Well the body proportion, the skin texture and the biomask itself are innacurate on the prime 1 piece. These are pretty much perfect on the Neca predators. Also the Neca pred feels like Kevin Peter Hall's predator while the Prime 1 piece lacks the elegance of the creature. It is more like a brute monster because of the pose. This was the reason why I sold my Prime 1 piece. Obviously it is my personal preference regarding the feel, pose of the P1 statue. I just hope PCS can capture the mannerism, the feel of his movement on their predator which were a big part of Kevin Peter Hall's performance. I would like to see that in a statue form. No company captured this so far in the statue business.

All in all I am happy that we have another option to chose from. I hope PCS will surprise us. Those who only collect 1/3 can still be happy with their P1 piece. As much as I don't like P1's Jungle Hunter I still think it is a quality piece. I love 1/2 scale and I hope I will like it enough to buy it.

I too love a HUGE statue of a great character.
1/4 has been done and is too small to mass produce very accurately. The pose is going to make or break this as much as accuracy.

Really right now I cannot imagine anything better than the BigGame cover art pose.
PCS should be shameless and do it in 1/2 as people will whine about copying and then buy it still the same.
This is coming from someone who owns the 1/4 DXS Cover art.

Figure out what a China factory wants to perfectly duplicate paint and charge us accordingly.
No more miss the mark games.
