Post BILLY TUCCI COMES TO GARDEN STATE COMIC FEST

GSCF is proud to welcome Billy Tucci to Garden State Comic Fest July 25-26th at the Mennen Arena in Morristown NJ
Working from a one-bedroom apartment in 1994, Billy self-published the phenomenally successful comic property Shi. At times outselling Batman and Superman, over 4 million Shi comics have been sold worldwide, along with a vast array of related merchandise. Shi is an industry superstar that has additionally produced many blockbuster cross-over projects with some of the most well know Marvel and independent characters including Daredevil, Witchblade, Vampirella and Wolverine of X-Men fame. Shi’s success inspired Tucci to create and publish numerous Shi offshoots and properties such as Victoria Cross, Angle Fire, Undaunted, Battlebooks and Atomik ANGELS (with Peter Gutierrez).
Tucci has done work for all the major publishing companies over the years and also produced a six-part miniseries for DC in 2008, Sgt. Rock: The Lost Battalion. Describing the series, as a "labor of love", Tucci spent time at a large reenactment with over 2,000 World War II reenactors in Pennsylvania as part of his research for the story. In the reenactment, Tucci acted out the part of a war correspondent, interviewed several veterans of the campaign, and visited the grounds where battles took place.
As partner of Apostle Arts LLC, Tucci created Billy Tucci's a Child is Born, a 32 page graphic novella about the birth of Jesus, for Christmas 2011
Billy is also one of the few comic book creators recognized by Wizard Magazine on both their top ten artists and writers lists.
