Hi Guys - thinking of getting a D7000. Which is the best lens to have for statue photography? I want the ability to take loads of depth of field on statues as big as premium formats and smaller as well. I want to mainly use the lens specifically for statue pics. Thanks!

The 50mm 1.8 or 35mm 1.8 should do nicely.

All of the above are great choices! Been shooting with a 85mm 1.4....Here are some sample shots.
I will be getting a 105mm 2.8 so I will let you know how it goes.

As for the Lions, it was a great season. Too bad we lost to the Saints, but still excited about the years to come. As long as Stafford and Johnson are around, expect great things.

It is my favorite lens for portraits. I absolutely love it and don't regret purchasing it.
Here is another sample shot.
