Just got back from seeing Rogue One and I really enjoyed it. It was much better than Episode VII IMO. I felt episode VII was just one big rip off of the original Star Wars, the only difference being the original characters were much older and the weapon was a death planet, not a death star.

Spoiler
One of my favorite aspects of Rogue One was the fact that the Death Star was purposely designed to have that fatal flaw that allowed Luke to destroy it with that single shot. I always found that aspect of Star Wars a bit unrealistic, that the rebels could take down the Death Star with a single well placed shot, but this film explains why that was possible as again, it was a flaw purposely designed into the station by the lead designer. And I love that he took the job, even in spite of clearly being against the Empire, just so he could ensure that he was able to design that flaw in the first place. As he said, they were going to build it anways. By agreeing to help design it he was able to place a trojan horse that basically gave the rebels thier victory in Ep IV. I really LOVED how that was really the back story to this film as again, that has always been one of my biggest issues with Star Wars. Well, no longer as Rogue One really resolved that issue for me 100%.

All in all, I think it had great characters (loved the robot and the blind guy), great action, a solid story and a fantastic ending. Again, much better than Ep VII in my book and I sincerely hope they contiue to make these individual films that help tell the back story to a lot of the events that too place in the first 6 films.

A very solid 8 out of 10 for me.

I put a spoiler tag on part of your post OC. In the future please refrain from posting them in this thread as it's supposed to be a safe zone for people who haven't seen films but still want to see them scored and/or reviewed. Thanks.

I used a spolier alert before my paragraph that had spoilers. If you want me to use the method you used up above or refrain from posting spoilers altogether then thats fine, but don't act like I didn't have a spoiler warning as I absolutey did. Everyone had more than ample warning to skip over the part of my post that had spoilers.

He's just asking you not to post spoilers at all in this thread. This is a spoiler free zone and is for ratings only. Just read the thread title.

Drop the attitude. I went above and beyond wrapping your spoiler in a tag rather than just deleting your entire post given the thread specifically states NO SPOILERS in the title.
