I don't care about people flipping stuff as long as it's in hand.
I think it gets a little shady when the item isn't even in hand.
Also what if you pay a guy $600 for a $350 pre-order, he transfers the item to you and he takes his $250 profit.
The item then arrives from PCS but it's broken, PCS have no replacements and can only refund the $350 for the item....I imagine this is when things get ugly.

That's the risk the buyer of a transferred item should understand before purchasing. I'm guessing for certain items, peeps are willing to take that risk.
I don't think the flipping situation should have any bearing as to whether the option to transfer pre orders is to continue or not. Basically it comes down to whether PCS can manage transfers easily enough, or even bother with it anymore. That's all.
Even having a waitlist implemented might have it's own workload. Contacting each person on a waitlist for payment via PayPal might be as time consuming, or even more, than the transfer option. How long will peeps have to pay for a waitlist conversion? A week? A day? If they don't want it, or don't pay, then PCS will need to contact the next in line ..... etc.
I guess PCS could simply do away with having PayPal as a payment option for waitlists, & only have an automated credit card payment happen, but some (like me) are more comfortable using PayPal at some places.

Well if it wasn't for order transfer I wouldn't have gotten the extremely rare Reptile statue at the original price. Thank god...
You can cancel the Order Transfer anytime now lol.
Or maybe only a certain users here that PCS knows or trusts can have this privilege?

I'm also curious about this.
Friend of mine has changed his mind on a order and I missed out getting to order. Would be nice to get it shipped directly to me rather than to him first and save some shipping costs as well as reduce the risk of damage during shipping.

This system probably just cost me $250, so yeah do away with it. I even filed a claim within the 45 day limit and it wasn't awarded to me, even tho my first payment of $150 (made two payments for a Balrog ex) was awarded back to me. Unless of course the transfer was done and I just don't know about it because I cant get an email answered, which I would also need to know so I could send that first payment back. What a disaster
