At this rate guessing Jessica and Frank will be canned after their upcoming seasons are released.

Shame as I actually thought Netflix did a good job with these street level heroes.

Does Netflix show ratings? I have no idea how they can determine success for a season this quick. I'm still working my way through season three as I don't like binging.

They don't, but they have internal metrics. They know how many of their subscribers actually click on something. They know how many people actually watch something from beginning to end. They know how many people actually watch every episode of a TV show (as opposed to people who watch the first and last episodes of a season).

Also, Netflix wanted shorter seasons so that each script would have less flab, but Disney wanted more episodes so that they could charge Netflix more licensing fees.

They don’t need neilsons to determine ratings. They know who watches what, when they watch it, and how many times it’s watched.

Yeah, even cancelled shows will turn up as reruns.
