I think this piece officially ruined the hobby for me. Im not kidding when I say i dont think any other piece will ever bring me this much joy. Could this be it? Could this really be the end of the line for me? I dont know. Maybe?
I swam very far up stream to acquire the DXS Bonus Version with the Limited Bust. I think all in it was around $4400. Pretty crazy. Never spent anything close to that before. I didnt think it would bring me THIS MUCH joy but it has. For me this piece is truly the pinnacle of my pre painted collectible journey. I thoroughly enjoy and appreciate everything I have acquired throughout the years but satisfaction of ownership and dopamine release thing gives me is just MILES ahead of mostly everything else in my collection.
I have drawn this character maybe a hundred times in my youth. On my brown paper book covers my mom made me, in my notebooks, ...everywhere. To finally see this mysterious, illusive, mostly hidden and disguised character in front of me at this scale with this level of detail and finished like this is something I never thought was possible. I remember how excited my brothers and I were when the first Kenner Predator figures came out in the 90s and how the Jungle Hunter looking predator that most closely “resembled” the 87 SWS Predator was our favorite
To be in the statue hobby for a solid 2 + decades and to pass on the EX maquette and then the CM Only to acquire this piece in its entirety is the biggest collectible triumph I could ever have.
For me this is the greatest statue ever produced, without a doubt my favorite piece in my collection. I could not be more pleased with it. prime 1 studios gave us a once in generation statue and im so thankful to be around for it.
