Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Great pics! They really show off the detail of the teeth, one thing I wish IS would have gave more of an effort in the attack diorama.

Could you show me the crack on the right leg?

He personally took care of me, as if he was a random customer service employee, and instructed me for the handling of a crack on the right leg.. one basically impossibe to see in the first place as it blended with the wrinkles.
A truly remarkable person and his company deserves all the support.

Mine have a crack issue on the right leg too.
Could you show me yours?
And what Mr. Wang said about the crack?
Please let me know thanks

Beautiful shots, Predatorfreak!
Can't remember the last time I've had a piece react so interestingly to light. The glass eyes, wet nose, and white-hot underbelly (courtesy of Joey Orosco) bring this to life in such a unique way.
Some photos taken during sunset, with the golden light bouncing off the wall back onto the statue:

Hi, sorry if I'm late. These were the instructions:
Quote:
okay, talked to my manufacturing partner and he said we used very long metal supports and also on the roof piece so there won't be any leaning issues with this piece. They will contact your retailer to offer a $150 credit to you so you can find someone local to repair it. We do not have any more editions of the t rex. We made the exact number we sold. So to fix this crack, you can use a hobby grade putty like magic sculpt or whatever brands available in your region. Carefully roll the putty and fill the crack. Smooth it with water and a sponge or your finger tip. As it starts to firm up, scribe some matching lines into it to match the detail and with a small paint brush and water, smooth the wrinkles down until it is nice and clean. Once dried, you can use acrylic paints to carefully paint that crack over to match the paint job. Once dried, you can use a matte medium to seal the paint in. Hope this all makes sense.
|
And here's the crack:
I was mainly concerned about leaning issues but his answers put me at ease.
What I did instead may sound a little excessive, but I used the $150 credit to purchase the last sample my retailer had.
So I actually have two copies, that's how much I love this piece.

I bought this from Animegami, after a recommendation on the forums. Unfortunately they turned scammers on the way out (I should have went with my gut when they kept extending the discount period, but the price drew me in). Although I got my bank to eventually get my money back, this thread always reminded me of what I had to go through to get it back, and the fact I didn't get this statue in the end. Got a credit card right after this to ensure my bank is legally bound to return my money, on any of these large purchases.
However, one apperared on eBay; I lucked out, and got it for around 38% under the lowest genuine retail price I could find any shops selling it here. It's fantastic (I don't appear to have any crack in the legs)
