Not sure how many statues. I have a whole storage room full of stuff. I think 4 cabinets fit in the space I have. Maybe 5.

i agree with setting the bottom shelf up higher than ground level but just make sure youre not making your second shelf (assuming there will be one) too high to see anything on

So the guy I found is going to charge me $1700 to make 5 cases with acrylic doors. I thought that was a good price.

I think it would depend on the size of the cases and the material the person who is building them is using
