Blade with "No Vampires"?

Just read on Newsarama about this new take on one of my favorite characters (though I miss the '70s version) and, gotta say, Blade with no vampires is like, I dunno, Batman with no Joker or Spider-Man with no webs. It's just intrinsic to the character. Yet another new take on a character that I won't be buying...

Ok, this sounds ridiculous. From what I've heard the new Blade will be his daughter. How can they NOT tell vampire stories? She would be BORN part vampire! That's so odd...GRRRRRR!! I was actually looking forward to that title (one of the few from Marvel
