I think that movie has pretty much been made, this year even. It was called...

I reckon if the do a standalone ,Venom will be end up being a sort of anti hero as opposed to a Villian.

You guys have probably already heard but this new "Spiderverse" without Peter Parker will also have another film tentatively labeled 'Silver & Black' centering around Silver Sable and Black Cat. Seems a shame all these characters are finally getting attention but won't connect through Spider-Man, or at least Peter Parker. I get that Sony has the rights to all these characters and they want to make money off them but I really don't understand letting the character go to the MCU if they planned on doing this all along. Given all this I think I'd have rather seen him stay put.

Throw in the whole Spider-verse deal and I don't see how there won't be a Spider-Man or Spider-Woman...maybe a Spider-kid....or Spider-Ham?

Sony was desperate after the lackluster performance of Amazing Spidey 2 at the box office. They were frightened at the prospect of bombing with the final sequel ala Raimi Spiderman 3.
I don't blame them for reaching out with Kevin Feige to inject a new bit of creativity to his storyline.

Great news.
I can't see in anyway that Tom Holand's Spider-brat beats Tom Hardy's manly man Venom. I don't want to see that anyway. I want Tom Hardy to win... lol

So, Feige either lied or he was wrong...probably why he didn't comment.
