I admit that outside of Fast 7 I am not familiar with his work. I was just pretty disappointed by that film. I like over the top movies when done right. However, Fast 7 crossed the line into laughably ridiculous for me.

I haven't seen those movies, but from what I hear, ridiculous is par for the course. I'm a horror buff and liked his work on Dead Silence, Insidious and The Conjuring. Try one of those out. He's got a real gift for that type of content. Not sure how it will translate for Aquaman, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

I think JW is most well known for is the horror movie SAW.

After the cast of Jesse Eisenberg as Luthor I wouldn't be surprised at all if DC cast Chris Rock as Black Manta.
