I'm almost sold on the top five. Almost. The rest is just random and rubbish in terms of order. Just a list of 25 movies, with no apparent reason for rankings. 25 through 20 inclusive need to be waay higher up that list.

Thank the powers that be that Green Lantern didn't make the cut.

A couple of noticeable exceptions from my list would have to include The Shadow and The Phantom. Neither one was a huge box office hit, but I think both are good period pieces, reliable to their source material and a good watch.

Dredd would also have made my top 30.

I like the choices, not the order. Captain America Winter Soldier and X-Men First class, for example, are top 10 superhero flicks imo. Dredd, the Phantom, and Punisher War Zone are definitely missing here as well. I would not have included Superman Returns, the Hulk (first flick), and the borefest Watchmen in a top 50. The extended DD flick could have made the top 30 over those. Does "Despicable Me" count as a superhero flick?

Winter Soldier and Spider-man 2 not in the top 5 means the list is nonsense. For me WS is the best CBM to date.

I like a lot of the movies mentioned here. The sequence is just terrible for my tastes.

I agree WS is the best CBM so far. The ranking by Empire seems totally random. I know I'm in a minority but I would rank MOS above either of the campy Superman movies and the first Hulk would never have made my top 30.

The Rocketeer should have been bumped up as should Cap, The 1st Avenger. Not fond of this list.

The first Hulk movie as opposed to the 2nd? Granted neither were mindblowing awesome but I would take the 2nd over the 1st in a heartbeat.
