Not a good sign when youtube is telling content creators that they should consult an attorney, and attorneys are saying they don't get it either.

It seems to me that youtube analytics tells the tale as to whether a channel is made for kids or not. Here's the breakdown on my viewership. Why can't the FTC use this information to determine a channel's audience?

Because the issue does not pertain to that graphic alone. The issue is children under the age of 13.

From my understanding this is happening because YouTube got caught by the FTC and fined because YouTube was gathering data (to use for specific advertising to children) from accounts that YouTube knew were held or run by children under the age of 13. Apparently the evidence presented against YouTube was massive.

There is no doubt there are YouTube accounts that are held/run by children under 13. They just have to lie about their birth date and poof, they have a YouTube account. Using those graphic metrics means little if you have account holders lying about their actual age or kids hacking into their parents accounts etc.

I haven’t read anything stating that this is about kids under 13 starting their own channels. This is about kids being consumers of YouTube, resulting in YouTube collecting data on them, which is illegal.

This is why im backing up my stuff on Bit chute and other sites. Also set up Picarto for live streaming, cause Youtube will become the new cable. Just MSM and late night shows on it. so it won't be YouTube anymore, just TVTube

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.
