Oh wow, I totally forgot about the Columbia House days.  I remember joining their CD club, getting my free CDs and then closing the account after I bought my 2 required purchases. I then proceeded to open accounts for all my family members - rinse and repeat.  Never joined the movie club though.

Oh yeah, I did the same with the CD club and the DVD club. I never lasted long with any of them, usually just through fulfillment, and then I'd get as many family members as I could to help me out with the process again.
Do they still exist, I wonder?

Some stores will let you pricematch online price + use a $5 dvd trade in coupon to make it only $44.99.
