Fantastic work with a good delivery time. Submits rough and then continues with approval.
Highly recommended.

Glenn Fabry: -1 or negative commission experience. Wasn't worth the $ in terms of final product. If you are a fan, stick with pages. Uninspired effort and value.

Mitch Gerads: -1 Horrible convention sketch; paid for a full figure sketch, he does a torso. Nice guy, but you will definitely overpay for a convention sketch in terms of quality and effort.

I had given Randy Emberlin a +1 rating over the Darryl Banks He-Man he inked for me. Well, after the stunt he pulled with my Tom Grummett Superman, that ranking's gone, gone, gone.

He's at -1 now. Possibly even lower if he doesn't deliver on the inks I paid for.

Forgot to post these a while ago:

+2 Jim Valentino

His rates have gone up in the last year or two but his prices were definitely on the cheap side before (imo). Got 2 single figure commissions. I was blown away by what he did- he went way above and beyond in one of the commissions. Communication as always was fast.

+1 Al Milgrom

Al inked a DPS for me. Communication was good, and he's pretty laid back and flexible. I threw him some curves with the request as circumstances dictated but Al handled it great. His rate was reasonable, the piece turned out great, and turnaround time was good too. Al mentioned he's willing to take on other commissions if people are interested. PM me if you need his email addy.

I got a Spidey vs Dr Doom from him. Very nice to deal with. Great communication. Very reasonable price. Quick turnaround time with just a slight delay due to ongoing work on Protectors Inc (image). But he was up front about that from the beginning.

Contacted him via ComicArtFans after seeing a couple of sweet commissions.

I commissioned him towards the end of 2012/January 2013.

3/3/13 He emailed, saying he was called in for more movie work, roughed out some sketches, and he'd try to get them out in a couple weeks.

6/5/13 Emailed that movie work continued and he'd be in touch soon to report progress. That's the last I heard from him, despite several emails following up and one requesting a refund.

I also sent an email from another address in case my originals were ending up in some kind of spam folder (also, giving him an out for not responding). Nothing.

It's now 8/1/14, over a year and a half after commissioning him.

If anyone knows an alternate address for him (beside comicartist@gmail.com and comicart@shaw.ca), lemme know.
