I just didnt add buy the ex "head" so sorry for the confusion.

This statue is cursed. I'm convinced now.

Went ahead and bought a reg, because despite all the problems I still really like this one. She was only £165 on eBay from within the EU, so didn't feel like too much of a gamble.

I was cautious about opening her, and fortunately the paint job on the head was pretty good. Lip gloss and eyeshadow could have been a bit neater but at least she doesn't have googly eyes.
So yes, I'm happy. Hadn't wasted my money after all! Got to work unboxing the rest of it, picked up the body and....

her leg fell off.

the legs are casted up separate anyway, so if its not a brake you can just glue it back in. All they are is painted and then glued into the final piece.

Yeah, I've glued it back in and hopefully she's set overnight. Going to have a look later. Shame it's the leg which attaches her to the base though, i'll be worried about her stability now. Still, seemed like quite a firm join.

Just annoying that the thing I was most worried about most (paint job) was ok, but there's a different problem with it!

Not a great weekend for statues. Also bought a Scarlett Witch with 'minor damage', which turned out to be quite extensive. I should be able to fix it and it was still a bargain for what I paid, but more than a bit irritating. No positive feedback for him!
