Dude, seriously? This is a discussion forum. How are your thoughts on this piece any more or less important than anyone else's. The old "if you don't like it, don't buy it" and "why are you in this thread if you don't like it" argument is just a backhanded way to silence people who don't agree with your point of view. Everyone here is entitled to their opinion and so long as it's expressed respectfully, there should be no problems.

I'm just speaking for myself but sideshow has started to frustrate the hell out of me recently. Jacked up pricing and their sideshowified made up costumes are killing me. I want to buy a classic Mags, Cap and Deathstroke PF. However, that's not happening because the ONLY company that can release classic 1/4 Marvel and DC statues in North America is sideshow, and yet they seem to have no more interest in making them.

You and others like you may like this ridiculously expensive sideshowified version of Mags (and other PFs like it). However, there are many collectors here who were waiting a decade for a classic Mags PF and have no interest in this overpriced made up Mags MAQ. Those disappointed and frustrated customers have the right to express their opinions. What will change if we are all quiet? Ironically enough, if you like the way this MAQ turned out, you can thank all the people that voiced their complaints about the prototype. None of those changes happen if everyone just "voted with their wallets" and remained silent.

Enjoy your statue. It's not for me. Hopefully sideshow doesn't forget about the thousands of dollars their classic customers have spent and at least occasionally release some classic PFs for their long time customers that would like to complete their lineups.

It’s much easier to change your own actions than to change the actions of others. Just remember that when you are seeing people saying things you don’t like or discussing things you don’t like. It’s much easier to simply ignore those people (changing your own behaviour) than to change their behaviour.

I'm hoping they aren't a thing of the past. My fear is that if it takes another 10 years to finally make a classic Mags PF, it'll cost us $1200 at that time. To be honest, if this was a classic Mags MAQ, I'm fairly certain I would've POd it even at the $750 price point. I really like the pose and portrait. The only change I didn't care for is the base. I actually liked the prototype base much more.

In the end, we got what we got. Hopefully those that buy the MAQ like it, and those that passed on it will see a classic Byrne or Lee styled PF down the road.
