Sucker Punch Display

I bought a Silhouette Cameo craft cutter about a year and now that I finished grad school, I have time to really figure out how to use the software and the different media. Lately I have been experimenting with custom vinyl stickers.

I took photographs of the Art of Sucker Punch book for the logo of each girl. The Silhouette does have a function for converting bitmap images to vector for the cutter. It doesn't work perfectly, so all the images required heavy Photoshop manipulation. Even with that, it still took about 6 hours of custom clean up in software to get clean logos. I cut the logos on Silhouette's repositionable (removeable) black matte vinyl.

As you can tell by the cut sheet, I don't like wasting gaps so I fill them with whatever graphic I have on hand that I may be able to use later. I haven't figured out if I am going to use the "Sucker Punch" title logo. I might do it larger and put it behind the girls. But I am happy how this turned out.

I thought about putting the logos on the clear acrylic bases but since I have spent shells scattered about, I felt placing the logos above looked better. This works best because these statues are on the top shelf at eye level. I might do this for the TWD Maggie and HT Whisper.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

These Sucker Punch ladies are one of the best statues I have ever seen. The details on every piece is outstanding. It's sad that I wasn't able to complete all. I only have Blondie and Rocket.

Thanks for the compliments. I'm working out what I am going to do with Maggie and Whisper. I am looking into what out statue displays I can enhance with this technique.

Here's a mock-up of the Honey Trap Whisper. I made all the logo elements separate so I could rearrange it to something that doesn't take too much space.

Nice!
I have a Zing Air and have been doing a lot of vinyl work too.
I just received a huge box of the reflective vinyl that the city uses on road signs.
Thought about doing a mural of some-sort.

Reflective vinyl? Didn't know they made such a thing. I have to take a look into it. Thanks.

Great looking text. Too bad all 5 are not standing next to each other. Not too sure about the scattered bullets, although the gold color works well. Impressive that you own all 5 statues. Blondie is my fav.

Maybe in future, statues should come supplied with a backdrop, or made available separately.
