I don't have the original Iron Giant MAQ, but I've always thought making the "S" would be doable.

it should be an easy comission if enough people are interested. I hope I can score the variant, looks good and I missed out on the orginal.

depends on the price i might finally get this.
hogarth looks surprisingly good, just hope the final matched the proto photos.
IG just doesn't work without this little kid sitting on him to give scale, also the kid is such an important part of the movie.
agree with others, definitely a dick move by ss to save this last addition on a supposedly expensive one-off release, to squeeze a bit more money out of it at the tail end of the release, and give the middle finger to everyone who purchased originally.

The kid is soooooo important. In fact I wanted the mondo piece and then bust of IG because of the kid. Total middle finger to the owners of the reg and EX original versions.
But if it looks good it would be hard for me to resist

That's not bad.
I actually prefer this paint over the first edition(s). This paint up looks to be a more animated and soft-looking. The first paint job looks more realistic, and a little rougher. To my eyes, this more closely represents what we saw on screen, and the edition of Hogarth is absolutely 100% worth the $50 MSRP increase. That factored in with I don't have to hunt down the first version...it's a winner.
sorry guys, that bought and tracked down the first version. This has happened to me before and it ruffled my feathers.

The immediate shipping thing is very enticing. I could order this tomorrow and have it by Thursday.
