Looking to sell entire collection

I'm thinking about selling my entire collection, Toys , baseball cards, Comics , statues , etc...
What's the best way to do this? I tried EBay in the past and got burned a few times so don't want to go that route...plus would like to have Uncle Sam out of this as I paid him when I purchased the stuff in the beginning. He doesn't need a second cut.
But seriously I've seen websites where they say we will come to you and purchase your entire lot for cash. But I feel they will likely lowball you.
Do I have any other options of reputable buyers out there? If not, are there any other options out there? I'm fine with taking a small hit here and there, but I'm not willing to sell a $1000 statue for $300 bucks.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Craigslist is an option but you have to remember that CL is an online flea market and people who are interested will offer you ridiculously low prices for your stuff.

You might be better off dividing your stuff up and selling it that way (meaning the cards separate, the toys separate, etc). Not that you could not find someone who would be interested in everything but those people might just be retailers.

Do you have a comic book or collectibles shop nearby that you could sell it on commission? They usually take about 15-20% of the sale but sometimes it is worth it.

Seeing how you live in New York have a collectibles “garage sale” and advertise on here and on as many Facebook statue/toy/comic groups you can. I bet you might have a decent turn out considering the population there.

What is your primary goal?
Getting as much money as you can for your collection?
Moving your collection quickly?

If the former, you won’t be able to achieve in a large single sale. If the latter, you’ll have to be willing to take a lower price than you may want to in order to move it quickly.
