Thumbs up Just read first two issues of Absolute Sandman!

I can't thank DDura enough for strongly recommending this series to me. His enthusiam for this series made me anticipate this absolute volume as much as anything I've ever read.

I received my absolute yesterday through amazon and immediately started reading it. I finished the first two issues, and all I can say is, WOW! The first issue is probably one of the best single issues I have ever read and unlike anything I have ever read. The fantastic use of older dc characters (like Cain and Able and the House of Mystery/Secrets), the use of John Constantine and the JLA, wow! And that's just the first two issues.

And sam keith's art is just fantastic. I can't wait to read more. I know most of you guys probably read these, but its a great discovery for me. ANd I think DC put a lot of effort in the quality of this absolute edition.

Oh NO!!! I got this Absolute as well. I was dying to read it, but after YOUR positive review (let's not forget that you gave SAVAGE BROTHERS a positive review), I don't know anymore. I might return it now

I've got to pick this up, too. I'm a Marvel guy who doesn't know a lot about the older DC characters mentioned. Will this make a difference in my enjoyment of the book?

Maybe you should pay more attention to the threads. We've been discussing this one since the beginning of October: Absolute Sandman
