Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

The option to place Catwoman on top of the vault or beside it is a great touch. Nice alternative if you're tight on vertical space.

This came out fast after Cheetah, I wonder of they have any other pieces ready to go.

Any suggestions on the best place to purchases XM statues? Shipping costs has become a real issue lately.

Spec Fiction if you're in the U.S.

Lots of pros and cons on this one.

Pros
  • Base is great - so many Catwoman statues have similar dark, gothic themed building bases, but this is different.
  • Purple costume looks gorgeous, and without any extra ugly additions XM is known to make.
  • Great story to this piece.
  • The option to display her up top or on the lower part of the base.
  • Really like the pose.
  • The cats actually look pretty good which is a change because usually they look pretty bad on other pieces.

Cons
  • The portraits are really lacking, and the purple bleed on her skin is ridiculous. The makeup is lacking too. Her face needs more depth and her eyes more eyeshadow.
  • The mouth on the unmasked portrait looks like a huge step back from recent pieces like Joker Orochi or Modern Thor that have superbly done mouths/teeth.
  • Even though the option is there, and that was a pro, I would never displaye her on top of the base - it looks weird and adds unnecessary height.
  • The whip doesn't make much sense to me. It's more of a museum pose where she's admiring her stolen goods, but then her whip is flailing about her like she's in battle.

The piece looks nice enough. No doubt the factory XM use will deliver a piece that looks close to the prototype. The shade of purple works well.
For all the positives, there is something inherently lacking when it comes to the wow factor.
Could it be the portraits?
Most of the time when animals are added to a statue (seagulls, cats, rabbits etc) they tend to not help, and in most cases look toy like.
As always, there is one exception i can think of, Katya by Gentle Giant who ships with a decent enough looking Doberman Pinscher. I love Doberman's

Here is my Katya.. (old photo) on display in an old display cabinet i no longer use, complete with Xmas lights

LOADING: Image(s)

The Doberman is painted to same high level as Katya. It's ears a super nice shade of pink.
Looking at it now, some drool on the end of the tongue using clear resin would have look excellent.
If i wanted to be hyper picky, the brown paint on the paw(s) area is too shiny.

Definitely ordering, love what I'm seeing here. Wonder how it would look next to newest SS Catwoman.

TBH I am considering ordering the 1/6 version. I actually think she would fit in perfectly with my current/future collection of Tweeterhead pieces including my Ivy on throne, Joker on throne and Scarecrow. They all have pretty elaborate, themed bases and this one will most likely work extremely well with them.

I'm liking this one. I always loved this costume because most of the comics I read was during the 90s. I read Venom and Spawn religiously but I really enjoyed some AzBats too so I have fond memories of this Catwoman.

The regular portrait just looks off to me. Can't pinpoint what exactly my problem is. Textures/Face Structure?

But that unmasked portrait with that pose? For me, its a sexy combination. If I used that combo, I can't see casual visitors knowing that's Catwoman

I also like how you can change the position of Catwoman on top of or next to (which I prefer) the safe. And also changing the position of her cats.
