Talk To Me - 4/10
Heard good things, but just didn't care for it.

The Equalizer 3 - 7/10
Denzel kicking ass in a righteous and satisfying manner

Barbie (2023)
7.7/10

Surprisingly good.
Probably not an easy film to write, what with having Mattel involved, no doubt endless requests, and demands.
Beyond the story, the movie covers various issue's, facts etc.
To be honest, having avoided spoilers, bar watching the original trailer, i expected to experience a musical, which it isn't.

The Boy and The Heron 8/10

Latest Hayao Miyazaki Anime Film. First half was very slow and the second half was kind of confusing, i mean what are the exact rules of the Other Magical Earth ? It was a visiually beautiful film as expected from a Miyazaki Film.

The Last Voyage Of The Demeter - 6.5/10

Not bad, but with the way it ended, I'm actually more game for a sequel...that will probably never happen.

First of all, i am generous when i am giving points. Second, i am ok with slow films. Third, the second half was abit confusing but not totally confusing. And Miyazaki's visiuals were really beautiful. Most of the points go to the really beautiful visiuals of the film.

Two films from director Steve McQueen's Small Axe series about West Indian immigrants living in England:

Mangrove (2020) - Mangrove tells this true story of The Mangrove Nine, who clashed with London police in 1970. The trial that followed was the first judicial acknowledgment of behavior motivated by racial hatred within the Metropolitan Police. 8/10

Red, White and Blue (2020) - Spotlights the true story of Leroy Logan, who at a young age saw his father assaulted by two policemen, motivating him to join the Metropolitan Police and change their racist attitudes from within. 7.5/10

I thought so too. Guess rose tinted glasses don't always apply.
