I don't see the big deal with it the pilot knows how low he is from his control panel.So say he goes down to 10ft well last I checked there's no ten foot tall person so it would be very close to the ground while not coming close at all to the people.
It's all about perception.
And yes I would stand there while he flew it straight at me worse that could happen is instant death and it's pointless to worry about something that's going to get you always.
