That sculpt was originally by Legion studios. Then the dude went radio silent for awhile then it all just fell through.

Not sure of the process of the new studio picking it up but here we are. I originally had it on order but when it fell through I moved those funds to a seller are piece.

Sculpt by: Franco Carlesimo
Manufactured by: ReVenture Studios
Sold Exclusively through Speculative Fiction Collectibles

The Legion Studios website is still up.

Maybe it is for best, ReVenture Studios are dealing with the piece..

Again, don’t know the details how how or why it went from one to the other, and I understand it is now with that studio, but originally Legion studios were producing it.

Looks like Vara was getting some TLC for an upcoming public appearance. I was happy to see a lot of detailing in the hair that really didn't come through in previous pics/videos.

This looks very good. Maybe I'll reconsider

LOADING: Image(s)

Speculative Fiction Collectibles have Vara: The Angel of Death on display at WonderCon 2022 along
with various other pieces from other companies.. JND Studios Golden Armor Wonder Woman 1984 to name one example..

I took the snap-shot from a video that can be found on YouTube right now (the video was shot on Friday 1st April 2022)

Vara skin tone looks darker than the original promo pic's suggested. The piece still looks excellent!

IME Cons are great to see a statue's sculpt, size and detail in person, even in pics, if compared to other pieces. Cons are TERRIBLE for judging paint colors/tones because of the lighting, especially in pics.

Secret Sanctuary posted a short video yesterday, and the skin tone looks better (less dark) in his video (compared to the other video) but still looks darker than the proto images.

I wonder if Speculative Fiction Collectibles plan on switching out the portrait at some point?

For those that were let down by the original order, I’m deeply sorry. There is little in this hobby that’s more upsetting than people lying and taking hard earned money from fellow collectors. The opposite is this reventure of the project. I applaud all those involved. It’s correcting a course, righting a wrong. Bravo.
Righting a wrong? Are they filling orders for those that got burned originally or refunding them money? I dont understand. Whoever is involved wouldnt be doing it if there was no potential for financial gain. Hold off on any applause or speaches about righting a wrong until they have actually done something please.
