Kotobukiya aquires Avengers 2 Age of Ultron license

from figures.com

Kotobukiya announces that they will be expanding their Marvel collectible offerings to include this year's blockbuster film Avengers: Age of Ultron. Koto has plans to offer a series of highly detailed, movie accurate ARTFX & ARTFX+ statues that will usher in this latest chapter of the Marvel cinematic universe.

I can't say I am too excited about this...after all I'm not sure their IM3 movie line went to well. Don't get me wrong, those pieces looked decent, but I wish Koto would stick to/concentrate on comic versions.

WAIT it just hit me...IF they do a 1:6 Hulk Buster that might be an excellent alternative to the HT version...hmmmm now they got me thinking!!!

This is very good news for fans, I do prefer the comic book version, for a real fan of the movie this is pretty spectacular.

I saw this too and am looking forward to seeing what they do. But I wonder why they're doing both ARTFX and ARTFX+. Are they doing two different lines/scales? A bit confusing....will just have to wait and see.

I'm sure we won't see any non-armored characters in ArtFX scale. But hopefully they do an Ultron in that scale alongside the inevitable Iron Man.

I hope they will do a great looking hulkbuster and ultron. As Skully said I do hope this doesn't affect the DRS line-up.

I'd love to get an ArtFx Black Widow (as in 1/6th scale rather then ArtFX+ 1/10th scale). Don't think any SS/XM/GG are doing a movie version of her this time round.

Latino Review posting an unsourced rumor doesn't count as confirmation. It barely even qualifies as a rumor.
