That's a good point.

Can JND improve on "perfection"?.....this is the cost of arrogance. JND needs to spend less time wasted on "teasers", and spend more time engaging the customer for constructive feedback and customer satisfaction.

I think this is a huge improvement.

The face looks thicker, and I don't mind the smirk missing.

I hope JND can tackle the Harrison Ford likeness next. The Hot Toy Han Solo has a better likeness to Ford.....and for the JND price...that should not be the case.

Regardless, fair play for correcting Reeve.

Once again we have really lousy lighting and color balance.
It does look like they adjusted the girth and length of the neck, and possibly expanded the jawline, all of which were what was mainly needed.
But unless this is all due to the lousy lighting, it looks to me like they've introduced structure that doesn't belong there, which may still negatively impact the overall likeness.

Hopefully this is just a result of the crappy photography, but right now I'm wincing at the hint of what I'm seeing.
And what's with the scraggly hair in back? You go to all the trouble of this teaser BS and then you can't be bothered to finesse and futz with the damn thing, until it's near perfect?
Where's a good facepalm gif?

^ That Cinemaquette looks absolutely dire from certain angles (not necessarily the angle you posted).

I just watched the video for this.
If I was 50/50 before, I'm feeling more like 75/25 now (on simply cancelling it).

They may still eek out a fair resemblance with this, but it looks like they've failed to give him a strong, square jawline, and the mouth/chin structure looks small and weak (to me) now.

Not really digging the changes so far. Looks like it might be a "two steps forward, one step back" deal.

Maybe the full face will turn it around. Not as confident as I was last week though.

We are having a product re-launch of 1978 Superman with significant improvements in the portrait and proportion adjustment. More information will be available with the renewed Presents video coming May 2. The improvements will be reflected in existing pre-orders as well.
Single Ver Qty: 100
Dual Ver Qty: 10
Re-launch Date : 2024.05.03 12PM(KST)
So only 10 Clark Kents will be produced?

Wow.

Besides me, who else ordered the Dual version during the original PO?

I’m confused

I thought the edition size was

Single: 500

Duo: 450

Are these not just more statues being released because of cancellations so we have an extra

Single:100

Duo:10

This surly isn’t the edition size just the cancellations available

These are just the quantities from the cancellations. So it’s still part of the total edition, but now JND has more direct allocations.

This edition size is only for the re-release (the batch that was supposedly cancelled).

Hopefully they start updating HS for the other pieces as well starting with Arwen.

Yea, it sounds like the ES is exactly the same, but these are the amount of orders JND will have left directly through them
