Disney was expecting this to earn a billion dollars at the global box office and then saw what happened to Tenet and Mulan if they release it now and said, "Forget it, we'll wait."

Agree. They can only show Unhinged, New Mutants, and Tenet so many times.

Neither Tenet nor Mulan were that good, so they're not the best measuring stick. Release Top Gun 2 and I bet sales will be very high, as long as the reviews are good...

Ticket sales won’t be very high no matter what movie is released because many cinemas are still CLOSED.

I am really not sure why they were hyping Tenet? I would never watch this.

General audience reviews of Tenet are actually good. I'd see it because Christopher Nolan has a good track record which is what I think the studio was counting on also.

The movie may have been delayed, but that did not stop The Official Movie Special book being released on schedule.
One of the pages features a good look a Taskmaster's headgear.
