Seeing as how they're both Doctors, I think they'd "battle" at a nearby golf course.
Stephen brings Clea as his caddy, and she bends WAAAY over in some saucy skirt to put Strange's tee in, continuously breaking Fate's concentration with one Hell of a view.
Strange wins.

Strange for the win. He just has too many magical goodies tucked away in his Village house. Not to mention his experience fighting all sorts of magical enemies and supernatural ones. Great fight, no doubt, but Steve would take it.

With the helmet of Nabu, Dr. Fate has access to thousands of years of magical knowledge. Strange while masterfully trained by the Ancient One, only has the accumulated capacity of 1 learned lifetimes worth.

Originally my thoughts were with Jesse, but after thinking back on some stories. I'd have to say this is a very tight match up. Strange has fought the likes of Dormammu and normally prevailed by himself or with help. DC IMO doesn't really have that type of threat to deal with and Fate's villains to me aren't all that well written.
I'm going with Stephen on this one.

I agree. Though I like both characters equally, I have never seen Dr. Fate go up against any huge threat.
