I remember saying the same thing but eventually I sold off all my DVDs with a few exceptions. I kept my Batman The Animated Series sets, various other animated series including some more DC animated sets still unavailable on Blu and my Dawn of the Dead box set which includes all 3 versions of Romero's classic. The latter I don't ever expect to see on Blu. The crazy thing is DVDs still fetch some decent coin right now if you sell to the right place. I made just under $500 about a month ago when I dumped my remaining 150-200 titles.
Now other than new release titles I only buy the films I'm extremely fond of on Blu-ray with the occasional guilty pleasure purchase. I enjoy bargain hunting for my favorite titles. Hence this thread.

The best deal I remember on Iron Man 2 was around last Christmas for $12.99. I believe I PMd you on that deal too Dana. You should have bit.
Iron Man is another story. I never see this one dip below $19.99 for whatever reason.

Haven't had a chance to watch the LOTR EE set myself. The transfers have been well received for the most part. There is a bit of controversy surrounding FOTR though as it has more of a greenish hue to it than in previous releases. Regardless of anyone's stance on the PQ on that title its still considered the best representation of the film available. If you decide to wait for a complete box set including The Hobbit films (assuming they even release one) I'd say its 4-5 years away, easy. I don't know about you but I love these films way to much to keep them out of my library for that long.
