I started watching Legend of the Seeker.

Along the lines of Hercules the Legendary Journeys and Xena, but not as strong in terms of characters or story. It was cancelled after its second season.

Still... Bridget Regan.

Generation Kill 8/10

Missed this one when it first aired, but a friend started bringing it in to watch over lunch at work.

Excellent 7 episode series following a platoon of recon marines during the 2003 war in Iraq. It's important to note the book/ screenplay were written by an embedded reporter, so the story plays out from the point of view of a squad/team member. I found it sometimes overly critical of some of the mid-level officers. Features Alexander Skarsgard (True Blood).

Still, well worth seeing and generally revealing look at the day-to-day experiences of those who were there.
