Since it's not a limited run, I'd say just wait until this fall when the 65nm CPUs are implemented; I'd assume they'll be incorporated into the Elite SKU as well.

I wish I would have waited but its not that big of a deal. I just figured if they did come out with a new one it wouldn't be so soon. I am happy with the one I have though, actually I think I play it too much.

I'd buy this one too!
I'll fork over another 500 bucks for my room.

This isn't much of an upgrade. HDMI mainly helps for HD-DVD playback, and I haven't used the whole HD anyway.
If it included Wi-Fi and an HD-DVD drive with the above features for $550 or less, I'd be impressed.

Yep I agree, M$ really missed a trick with this release if it had of included the features you say it would have really troubled PS3 sales. As it is they`ve pushed it closer to PS3`s price without really adding anymore (useful) features. I mean wireless at the minimum should have been included.

I wouldn't say I'm impressed, but also not disappointed. The price difference between the Pro and Elite SKU is $79, which is the difference in price between the 20 GB HDD and the 120 GB HDD. The main reason to purchase the Elite system is if you're going to jump on the downloadable content bandwagon that Microsoft's going to be pushing through Live. If you plan on downloading movies and the like, not a bad deal.

I'll pick it up about a month before Halo 3 comes out. Yes, I'll pay $500 for the system for just that game.
