I can afford it, so I'm getting one. I already have a nice television, so I'm not really sure why I should care about the price equivalence.

I have no clue why you people care enough about what other people think of your purchases to spend time trying to publicly justify getting/not getting something. This is a frivolous hobby, literally nothing any of us are buying here is essential.

Personally, I'll be pretty happy when this one comes in next year.

LOL, because when someone sees something they think is overpriced, they feel everyone should feel the same way.

I think the comparison to a big tv was brought up for the relation to working parts in justifying the price tag.

For $800+ bucks, HB better have remote control, sound effects and carry wifi.

I'm on the fence about this one.

It's a lot of dough for an Iron Man figure, but it's IRON MAN!

You could always save up a little more...like $21,000.00 and get a 9 foot tall HB by Beast Kingdom.

Why do people keep commenting that Sideshow is nuts on the pricing? Do they realize this is not a sideshow product and that sideshow is only the distributor? This is hot toys and hot toys makes the prices. Get it right people and stop using any excuse you can find to blame sideshow

We all have 1 year some up to 2 years to save, so if you guys want it just save $70 each month for a year and you guys we'll be fine...

I can afford it as well but instead of buying with my money I'll be selling my Windlass studios Iron Man Mark II helmet that goes about $800 to $1000 only 200 made I believe to cover for my Hulkbuster... I don't have to time to be cleaning it and it has gotten rusted and needs real cleaning but when I sale it I'll include the stuff to clean it as well...

Is this really happening or is it an April fools joke? I don't see a thread on it anywhere?

I am pretty sure it is legit, Chris. It's on Hot Toys official website and I doubt they would participate in an April Fools joke.
