Being a fan of the Dark Knight Returns, Affleck was perfect for the grim and grizzled Bats -- which I am pretty sure Snyder based him more on.
He was playing a completely different version of the character than Keaton and Bale were (the more rich playboy approach).

In sheer bulk, Affleck was probably a closer match for the comics then either of his predecessors.

Batfleck is my favorite cinematic incarnation. In costume and behavior. I'm not a huge Batman fan though. I think Bale was a better Bruce Wayne.

I would've loved to see a stand alone Batflect movie, pity he pulled out, I thought he suited the role.
DC went about this universe all wrong, they were so desperate to bring out a "Group" movie to go up against Marvel, they didn't take the time to set it all up.
