I still think an end price of this magnitude will cause him to at the very least re-evaluate his current systems...
I'm hoping not, for the sake of those still seeking a sketch.

I think the one main thing is that there don't seem to be people flipping Mark's art to the extent that happened to Adam Hughes, which is why he moved to his auction-only sketch opportunities.

I just looked at the two entries on eBay and they were from the same account. I'm guessing that the winner last year just didn't get around to leaving feedback.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

I just saw his Devient post about taking on commissions for $400 at SDCC, and that's what I'm really hoping I can get. I haven't been able to get to San Diego for a good five years now, I saved up a good amount of cash to enjoy all five days, but not getting a sketch from him would suck big time for me =(

I wish you all the best but I hope you know that Mark "cherry-picks" from his sketch list. I was first in the queue at SDCC last year but wasn't successful as Mark decided to go with other requests.

However, I have higher hopes this year, especially since Mark and Lisa just returned from a trip Downunder Best,

anyone know if Mark charges the same for a full figure vs a smaller contribution to a jam piece?
