Why did they use PVC and Vinyl of Polystone for those piece? Less inclined to break?

That and polystone doesn’t cast as well as pvc/vinyl. So little details are harder to capture with polystone.

Thanks for that. I am considering buying this piece but the material debate has me hesitating.

I'm in the same boat. I can't pull the trigger unless I'm on board with every aspect. Plus I know PVC can lean after awhile and he's in a forward leaning pose. I think with the newly added taxes I'm gonna have to pass. I was on the fence with the discounted $720 shipped.

Most pieces I own, I have small issues with. This piece however I have zero. I love it, love the sculpt and very happy I got to own one. Sounds silly but the statue feels alive and organic. I have it displayed with a backlit acrylic swamp photo behind it and love the look.

It can also 'sweat' which has happened to several pieces Koto has released as the plasticizers break down.

I happen to own several vinyl statues, but I would never pay that much for one.

Hopefully this holds up over time for all of you that got one.

I watched the review. It is really good but I’m still just as torn. I really love this piece and the sculpt. Why did SS have to make it Vinyl

That was (and still is) my beef with this statue. I don't care that it is PVC BUT since it is, the price is too much IMO. If it was $500 or less, I would have considered it ($800 is ridiculous).
