in quest for an idea for a sculpt?

does anyone have a recomendation?

see im lookin to sculpt a character that would sell well.
and would like some extra push from this community to finish and do a good job on a piece that i know would sell.

the reason im lookin here is cuz it helps me to do stuff for other people. see if i do it for myself then ill usually never finish the work. and if im takin advice from everyone here then ill feel like im doing it for all of the members that have comented as the majority decision.

my rules are
1. i dont want to sculpt a SUPER popular character that has been sculpted alot.
2. i want it to be a female character, because i havnt ever finished a female sculpt before.
3. i dont make porn stuff, only tastful nude-istic ideas are accepted.

i take advice well, listen to what people say.

i was thinking of doing red sonja
does everyone think it would sell well, if it was done in good taste and with skill ?

"if this isnt the right place for this post i apologize."

Red Sonja could sell. I think you should look at sculpting female movie and TV stars....like a bond girl, Sophia loren or Audrey hepburn.

I'd like to throw in my two cents and suggest Chiana, Zhaan, or Aeryn Sun from Farscape. It would fit in with thefemale movie and TV star theme mentioned by Master.

reply to MASTERSHOKHAN:
lol thanks for the vote of confidence my friend, but i dont think im quite good enough to sculpt an actual likeness yet. iv only completed 3 sculpts so far
check them out here-
http://www.statueforum.co/showthread.php?t=80798
i recemend the youtube slideshow link it gives a 360 view.

reply to Zombie:
i like omega red, hes one of my favorite x villans, and you dont see too many full sculpts of him either. so maybe ill work on him next (not sure when thatll be,might take me a while).
an since i havnt ever worked to scale id like to do this next female character to scale to get the feel for it. thanks for the idea tho.
thanks for the support zombie

reply to mnwolfspider:
when i get good enough.....
Chiana, Zhaan, or Aeryn Sun-out of all of these i would be most likely to attempt Chiana. i never did follow the story of farscape but ever since i seen that character i have REALLY been attracted to her. i think its the combination of her wonderfully formed facial structure mixed with just the right flavor of blue. i dont know, but it just fits for me.
do you think if i did a sculpt of her and made it pretty close that it would sell well? how popular was farscape?
thanks for the suggestions wolfspider.

reply to maddmaestro:
ahhhh, cheetara! most deffinetly my favorite thundercat, paws down. would deffinetly be animated to attempt this character!
2 things to consider, if i put it up on ebay, or wherever do you think she would be likely to sell?
how to come up with an awsome pose for her? I mean come on it would have to be verry dynamic and full of action, an id probably have to throw in a villian.
oh an thats another rule i have made for myself, when i sculpt i try come up with a short story, and tell it through the sculpt the best i can. that way it makes sense to anyone even if there not familliar with the charcter.
i like the idea of doin her alot, thanks maddmaestro.

so right now my top 2 choices are
Red Sonja
Cheetara

keep sending suggestions please. id like to have a top 5 to choose from.

i do understand that most people probably dont care, but i just thought that this was just a friendly place that people that have the same interest could share opinions, and inspire each other to do good work.

see i dont have some big wig money dude waving a big paycheck infront of my face to get me to moving, nor do i want it. id rather have a group of people that care about other peoples ideas and expressions, to inspire me, and motivate me to progress in the pathway that i am traveling.

anyways thats my motive behind this post.
partly to motivate and partly to make a few friends.
an when i say that im thankful to sombody, im not just goin through the finger to key motion of expressin grattitude to others by way of popular behavior-ized habbit. It is meaningful for me to say thank you to somebody that has helped me, or at least tried.

i do however have a couple of questions,

why is it that there are so few people out there that enter the pit stop to help others?

shouldnt it be a place that is visited most by people that know the most, instead of the other way arround?

Zombie has wondered the same thing. He cant really help anyone (hes new and knows nothing) but feels like there are some really talented people here who dont share their knowledge enough...oh well..what is a Zombie to do?

lol ok ill keep u in mind on the omega red.
although i have somethin esle planned after the female sculpt an i think its pretty awsome.
I think it has some potential for success. "i cannot divulge any information at this time about this project", i am pretty sure its an original idea, cuz i have never seen any ideas exactly like it.
i will give a hint, it involves japanese culture.

reply to bebohawk:
starfire sounds like a nice cantidate.
