I agree as well. I enjoyed the Elric series, but the Corum series really blew me away, especially the last 3 books.

I'm currently reading Burr by Gore Vidal. I had intended to read his entire Narratives of Empire series, of which this is the first book. I have to say, if all the books are written like this, I will stop here. It's interesting reading, and his characterizations are great, but it's sooooooooo sloooooooooow.

Taking a break from reading the Dune Series in chronological order. Right now I'm chewing through Star Wars: Legacy of the Force: Betrayal. Going back and reading the entire series before I start on the newer ones-can't completely remember what happened before.

Reading del toro's The Strain

Pretty good but it's taken a bit of setting up.
I think it's the first part of a trilogy so will see where it leads to

Just about to start The Road myself.

Also reading at the same time: The Omnivore's Dilemma, Roger Ebert's Your Movie Sucks, and Devil in the White City.

I love it when I get to catch up on my reading in the summer!

Just starting to read Terry Pratchett based on a friends suggestion. Almost done with 'Guards Guards" and moving on to 'Nigh----ch' Nice mix of humor in the story, good stuff.

It gets better but definitely has that dragged out feeling to it. I'd be interested in what you think when you're done. I do know that in a brief interview with Hogan that he said that Del Toro was thinking of an HBO style series for this.

Finished it last week
It got better but though it was pretty slow
Loads of concepts out of Blade 2
Would have worked better as a movie/feature length episode IMO
Gonna be in for the rest of them though

That was exactly what I thought. I'll be in for the rest too. If you haven't already read Prince of Thieves by Hogan go pick it up. Good stuff.

I guessed it was to be expected seeing as he did both
Interesting take on the vampires though
