MD/VA/DC - Tristate Posse

What's up! I was talking to a few local collectors and it would be interesting to see if there is enough peeps that collect in the tristate area to get together and chill.

I was thinking if we can get this posse going, I could rent out a portion of Dave&Busters near WhiteFlint Mall, grab some food/drinks, play some pool, and talk statues. Maybe once or twice a year.

How about we start with basic info/pics and go from there:
1. Which city and state do you represent?
2. What do you collect?
3. How long have you collected?
4. Show pics of yourself

Let me start this off:
I reside in Olney, MD near Rockville. I'm mostly into comic-related statues. I started with Bowen's, then branched out to SS and Aspen. Right now, I just collect any statue that looks cool.
Got my first statue (Bowen's Deadpool FS) in 11/09, and it's been a wild ride ever since.

Here's my crew:

Joining the Possee

gylaya.. What's up man? Awesome family pics. Sorry for th big delay in getting back to you. i got really sick a while back, now I am back and getting stronger each day; I hope your still around. Anyhoo, here is the info you requested, and we should definitely get together soon to talk statues

1. I live in Hyattesville, MD

2. I collect statues that speak to me and my childhood; lots of (Marvel) Specifically Thor, Matrix, Gi Joe & sideshow. I am likely gonna focus on Marvel moving forward.

3. I started collecting in 2010 right before I moved into our new home.

Is this group still alive? I'd love to meet some people with similar interests.

I might be going solo to AwesomeCon but I'll update this thread when I know for sure. If I do go to AwesomeCon I'll be going on Friday to attempt to get first dibs on any cool statues . I'm definitely going to NovaCon in Tysons Corner, VA in July 28-30.

There aren't a ton of statues at awesomecon usually. Some but not tons. I am going friday only as well (calmer day) with some co-workers. Feel free to hit me up if you're interested in meeting up!

Bought tickets for Friday, bringing the wife and kids too. Good to know about statues. I'm hoping to find some Bowens.

There should be some bowens, the ones that usually have statues are like stores that carry them like third eye and beyond comics and they have a bigger selection in store. But you can see them all in one place Planning on going there around noon if you want to meet up.
