has happened to me more than once for stuff coming into the US from overseas

I just got home so I haven't had a chance to read this thread but I read the title so I'm already confused. Wouldn't we have to drag Boony's name out of the mud before we could drag it back in?

I don't think that is a reasonable position. I've had a lot of pieces painted by several different talented people. I like to collect but honestly don't have the time nor the aptitude to get good at painting.

By that logic I suppose everyone should just sculpt their own statues too?

I don't think Spartacus is out of line being upset if it was damaged but I also think Boony is trying to make it right. Hindsight is 20-20 but I don't see how either party would ship or allow to be shipped a relatively expensive and fragile piece without insurance, just agree in advance who would pay for it.
