You may be right about the downturn and economy right now. Just look at the Queen products on sale at BBTS, 40% off and still available, that's crazy.
I think they went too had too soon with product releases and people just couldn't keep up. Now its like a complete stop. They used to be great with customer communication as well, but that has dried up too.

I'm getting out. Was hoping this would be one of my last pieces... doesn't look like it's gonna work out that way.

Maybe grab another SW.

It is 100% the economy and collecting collapse that is slowing down Queen Studios.

I am actually kind of happy that Queen is -- or -- may be done with
Marvel pieces, they just kept getting more and more expensive
and outside of an "official" Robert Downey Jr. portrait Iron Man Bust
(I don't want to touch that custom one, no matter what the prototype photo looked like)
there is just nothing else that I would pay the kind of money they are charging to pick-up.

Just got my Loki bust today, Captain America is next month and
then Thor... and I'm out. No more statues or busts for me.
Will stick with collecting Hot Toys figures from that point moving forward.

There is only one I did not PO... and I really hope BBTS discounts
the Iron Spider Bust.

With it being a high ES (888, I think), it wasn't really destined for
a sell-out at $4k and as much as I want it, figured I would play the
long game for that one.

Cancelling this instead of reworking it is certainly a let down. The nail in the coffin for attempting to jump on board with QS's Marvel 1/4 statues for me.

Did they cancel it? I thought they just upped the scale to 1/3.

Current rumor is they lost the Marvel license.

Pieces that were already up for preorder / in production will be released but nothing new will be produced.

This particular piece would be cancelled.

They didn't lose it. They gave it up for 2023.

That sucks. I hope they visit this piece in the future.

Does that mean they intend to re-up in 2024?

I'm assuming if that's the case, they did it as a short-term cost savings measure?

I think Prime 1 would love to get the Marvel license but is unable to do so. Queen on the other hand has that license and just gives it up. Strange.
