To "wash" clear parts...?

So here I'm working on some kits that has clear resin parts, and I've been hearing all the pros talking about how "washing" process can create the translucent quality that resembles living tissue(skin and all)...

I would really appreciate it if some kind souls out there can enlighten me with some hows and tips.

Thanks in advance!
