These stories are so freaking horrible. That's why I tell my wife to always keep the alarm on, even when we are home.

Gotta agree with Jesse. If the press were truly the hotbed of Liberalism that so many Neo-Conservatives whine about, they wouldn't have merrily marched along with the Bush administration off to Iraq without asking a single question about our reasons or motives.
Sadly, the press isn't Liberal or Conservative. They've become, in too many cases, purveyors of mindless infotainment...with a generous sprinkling of blood and sensationalism on top. After all, it's pretty much what the majority of America has demonstrated that they want. Forget hard news, and thoughtful examination of issues, that requires too much thinking...give me 20-second sound bites, catch-phrases, Lindsey Lohan, and the latest American Idol results.

Nothing can be seen now without the political prism today.
We are in a cycle of hightened political division, the flames fanned by extremists.
And omission of news IS bias. Bias by omission is quite common.
You cannot select a flavor of ice cream without politics involved these days.
Vanilla? why did you select that flavor?
Rocky road? What is that supposed to mean?
And yes, most of the MSM is predominately biased to the left to varying degrees.
I don't care if that statement makes leftists squirm and scream its untrue.
I have found that those that think it not, are simply extreme left wing.
It's a fact as sure as the sun rises in the east.
But thats ok.
The internet is slamming the MSM hard everyday.
And they do not like it one bit. LOL

I think most people would do well to read newspapers instead of being television zombies. But then that would require, you know, reading.

Self protection?
No no, only politicians, judges, cops and anti-gunners are allowed to do that.
The rest of us have to use harsh language.

Most papers are simply reprinting crap from the NY Times or Reuters.
I am always surprised at how much our local papers content consists of articles from other papers.
Subscriptions are dying.
The internet is ascending in that regard.
The citizen reporter is gaining strength.
This scares the hell out of "journalists" that think oh so highly of themselves by the way.

They MSM did this because Hillary and her party signed on to going into Iraq.
Remember?
When Clinton beat his chest against Saddam the MSM was all for it.
You can predict exactly how the MSM will report news this way. It is very consistant.
