Soylent Green (1973) - 4/10
Man, this was awful. The screenplay was actually pretty good, but everything else was a mess. I've never seen a movie set in the future that so horribly fails at visualizing that future. The whole feel of the movie is steeped in the '70s, and it looked like society froze in that period and never recovered. The designers didn't even try, and it actually raises my opinion of other sci-fi films of the time (Logan's Run, Zardoz, THX1138, Silent Running).

MIB III. I thought it was enjoyable and a good bookend to close the trilogy with J & K (assuming they do). Went with my 7 year old daughter, who has great taste in movies, and she thought it was just okay and a little light on action and comedy. She also seemed a little bored in the theater, though she was quiet and sat still throughout the film.
A 7.5 from me and a 6 from her for those pondering taking their kids.

Killers 5.5/10. Likeable enough rom-com. Katherine Heigl is very likeable and funny.

Gone 6/10 Could have been much better if they developed the killer character more throughout the film as he went out with a whimper at the end.

Black Cauldron 7/10 first time seeing it no wonder it usually flies under the radar for Disney flicks, not much going on, now what voice came first Gollum or Gurgi? I swear I was listening to gollum everytime he talked. The bad guy (Horned King) was pretty cool and scary
New Years eve, or Day I don't know the one with all the famous people 6/10 pretty typical romance, lone characters brought together towards the end

Woman in Black. I recall reading disappointed reviews of this but I quite enjoyed it. For me it was a nice gothic ghost story. Very well cast with the always excellent Kieran Hinds and a good start of the rest of his career for Daniel Radcliffe. 7/10.
