I don't think that looks better. He looks like Abe Sapien with a nose. I didn't have a problem with how Apocalypse looked in the movie. That comic look everyone wanted wouldn't have fit the character.

Apocalypse wasn't very much of a threat. He was pretty weak compared to the comic character and he didn't do anything that would have looked better if he looked like a giant tank. He looked like an ancient Egyptian mutant, which worked for his character in the movie.

just got back from finally seeing it, not as bad as I was expecting

the good:
- weapon x
- magneto
- young jean and scott
- Xavier
- quicksilver
- "x-men moments" - hard to explain but moments that felt like I was reading a comic or watching the old animated series

the bad
- apocalypse - he looked ridiculous, aside from looking like an ornate power rangers villain he was really short
- wire work - classic singer, just sloppy wire work that looks really fake
- psylocke - pains me to say this as she is my favorite female comic character. they turned one of the most interesting characters into a b-level one dimensional baddie - terrible casting as well

"Not as bad as I was expecting" has become the sad statement of fact for us X-Men fans.
