there were significant qc issues with spidey. lots about it in that thread (paint, parts not fitting together properly etc.)

Same here. but with Spiderman at least you could return it for a refund if you bought through SS. Vader will not be available from SS so if you're buying from a local contact in Brazil, any QC issues are on you unless you're willing to pay ~$300 shipping to return it. That would be brutal

I just have my guy open it up, inspect it and take pictures before shipping it to me. That way if there is any issues he can get a replacement or refund from Iron Studios directly.

I agree about their cheap Spider-Man release which would definitely cause some apprehensiveness to placing an order for Darth Vader. IS ----ed up big time with Spidey..

This is a must own for me. Probably double what SS's is but who cares if it comes out that dynamically and with switch outs etc.
