One potential solution is to offer the extra pieces at a cost without buying a whole second or third statue. This way XM can make a little money BUT avoid having collectors buy a 2nd or 3rd character they may not want. I think most collectors (if given the option) would pay $250-$300 for an "add-on" pack vs. having to pay $1500 to get the same pieces on a character they may not necessarily buy. Just a thought.

I would think so at least in completed 3D renders. Starscream is done (XM showed the teaser a few weeks ago...probably more impressive than Prime IMO) and Bumblebee I THINK is finished. Megatron is probably still being worked on.

These are educated guesses if they will be shown at TCC. I say the likelihood is greater than 90% for Starscream and 70% for Bumblebee. Megatron who the hell knows.

Agreed. Really wish they would at least make this option available so those that want only select TF have the chance to complete their Prime.

If this was a $10 Prime toy, hide all the bonus pieces you want in other toys, but this is a very expensive statue. If they did this with one of their Marvel characters, that section of the forum would be going nuts and rightfully so.

I'm just really hoping they rethink this strategy and look at something that can offer those pieces to everybody.

Starscream is my favorite Transformer so I'm pumped to see him. Even more so now that you said he's probably more impressive than Optimus.

Understatement. And when you see how big it is....you will BETTER understand how XM is trying to mitigate costs to collectors who plan on buying TF line.

Just due to XM's track record and communication, they have to have some credit. It's not about them trying to package something with something else to get you to buy them. The line will sell itself to those collectors and fans of TF that has been waiting for a more detailed G1 inspired line like this. XM doesn't have to resort to shady tactics to sell this line.
