Great call. Hilton could pull their fat from the fire.

I mostly remember actor Jared Harris from the TV show Fringe.

Between these two and Mad Men, I think he's really great! Not to mention, none of the characters really resemble each other, yet he really plays each one convincingly.

After watching last night's episode, maybe Don will snag Heinz based on the info he coerced from Faye.
Roger has hit bottom before Don. I didn't expect that at the beginning of the season. What good is Roger now that Lucky Strike is out?
I cringed when Don kissed Megan.

Doubt Heinz could monetarily replace Lucky Strike. Didn't Lane say Lucky was worth 70 some % of their business? But, you may be right, Heinz might pull 'em throgh.
I'm almost thinking the show has jumped the shark these last few episodes. We've been there, done that with practically every situation covered last night in previous seasons. We've seen the gang struggle and in-fight under duress when "the end" is near. I'm getting so bored w/ Don's transgressions that they've become almost cliche & yawn inducing. Underlings have been offered opportunities outside of the agency before. Peggy has had so many "strange" relationships that this one didn't even register. Roger and Joan...yawn. Roger is coming across as pathetic. Characters lashing out at one another doesn't carry as much clout any more.
This show needs a real shot in the arm and having the characters in panic & lecherous mode again, isn't doing it this time.
Pete's character is still interesting, just wish he'd get some more face time.
There were some high points last night. The funeral over the birth of a child was funny. Don't get me wrong, I'm still an uber-fan...just wish some new ground was covered. I wanna see Don back in California.

While I've enjoyed the individual episodes this season, I agree that, overall, things are stalling. Not much has happened, compared to the previous seasons, and I think a lot of it has to do with the focus shifting away from Don's family. Betty and the kids were a huge part of the first 3 seasons, especially Betty's growth as she came to realize the truth about Don, but they are almost completely absent now. I still feel that she has an important part to play and am hoping she isn't simply relegated to random appearances hereafter.
A few episodes back, I really liked how Don was re-evaluating his life since he'd become unattached. I thought for a sec that it was a signal to him that something was wrong. But it sure doesn't seem to be playing out that way.

Yes it is, Don has clearly limited his drinking since then and seems to be serious with Faye. And after last night's episode, he knows how far he could have fallen seeing the disaster ex-mistress Midge's life has become.

After he got busy with his secretary, I don't see Don as being serious with Faye. He will still grab some when the opportunity presents itself.
Good episode last night. Yeah, Midge was in pretty rough shape. What I want to know is, where's Sal??? I can only imagine how much he's changed...
