Chrome Darth Vader has arrived
Hi everyone. Well my chrome Darth Vader arrived today and I think it's stunning. Many people have complained because it's not film accurate and he shouldn't be done in chrome. Well I don't really care if its film accurate or not because it is a great looking piece. Yes proportions aren't as good as some of the other Darth's out there but I don't think people realize this is based off of Episode 3. He's going to look different because he's played by a different actor so the suit had to change. Anyway this is my first Star Wars collectible and I'm sure it will be the first of many.

thanks Tril. Do you own the Sideshow premium Vader? If so is it worth selling the half scale alien bust from HGC for? Also do you have any pics?

Yes I do own the Vader PF. Don`t know if its worth selling the HCG Signed Alien Head for though, which I also own. The Alien head is one great looking piece IMO.

Its not the signed one. Its the first one that came out in 2004. I think it looks pretty ugly and takes up way too much space. How tall is Vader. Top of helmet to bottom of the stand?

Sorry my mistake. Your talking about the one thats limited to 2004 pieces.
Vader is approximately 21 Inches to the top of his helmet. 23.5 Inches to the tip of his LS.

Congrats on your first star wars piece. The PF sideshow really depends on whether you like the mixed media format, its tough to compare. Some people say that the mixed materials gives it a toy like feel in contrast to a museum quality statue.
I have no idea what your HCG Alien Head is worth but if you are going to start scrounging to save for a big Vader purchase, just hold out for one of the Attakus Vaders. Dont waste your time and just buy one first before you invest in several others. If you start collecting star wars pieces and like Vader, eventually you WILL want one.
